ABOUT THE WIB

This employer-led board of directors works in tandem with the Chief Elected Officials of Lawrence and Mercer Counties. In addition to overseeing the use of funds, the Workforce Investment Board (WIB) provides policy guidance and exercises oversight in the development of a broad workforce investment system in the coordination of education and workforce development activities in the community. The WIB approves budgets, selects service providers and is responsible for all program and performance outcomes.
